Italian mathematician who wrote Arithmetices Principia Nova Methodo Exposita. This work was based on
Peano's axioms and was the basis for rigorous algebra and analysis. Peano
developed symbolic logic and constructed a continuous space-filling
curves known as the Peano curve. However, Peano stopped mathematical work to
develop an international language called Interlingua.
