The day of the week is one of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. The day of the week for a given year, month, and day can be found using DayOfWeek[{y, m, d}] in the Mathematica add-on package Miscellaneous`Calendar` (which can be loaded with the command <<Miscellaneous`).
